CORPUS Staff

The CORPUS staff work with scholars and scientists in all fields of study to make effective use of digital data through all stages of research, including (if needed) publishing data on the Web. The staff include software engineers who maintain the innovative computational platform used by CORPUS as well as specialists in data modeling, data migration, and data publication. The CORPUS staff currently support several hundred researchers at the University of Chicago and other institutions worldwide.

CORPUS Editorial Board

CORPUS has an editorial board consisting of University of Chicago faculty members from various departments and disciplines, augmented by representatives of the University of Chicago Library and the University of Chicago Press. The board meets once per quarter to discuss general policy matters and provide guidance to the CORPUS staff.

A primary function of the board is to evaluate proposals submitted by scholars who request the production of durable, citable, peer-reviewed, and professionally edited publications of their data on the Web under the University of Chicago imprint. Publication proposals are approved or rejected by the CORPUS board in light of peer reviewers’ reports and the recommendation of the Director of Publications concerning the feasibility of the proposed publication.
